The new theme isn’t exactly winning any awards from me, but at least it works.
I’m not great at design to start with and the block editor sure doesn’t make it easy to design a site.
It doesn’t even make it easy to create a working site, as far as I’m concerned. I feel like it was easier to learn to create a child theme, or even my own template from scratch, than it’s been to figure out some of this stuff.
That said, it is possible with a lot of finagling to get something working, and I’ve learned enough to get something passable if you like white space.
Frankly, there is such a thing as too much white space. And I have proven it with the current iteration of my homepage.
Anyway, it’s a work in progress.
