Setting aside feedback from others

Not being interested in the feedback of critics is almost a necessity for long-term mental health when it comes to putting out books. I’m very lucky I’m already in a place where I can set aside the comments of others about my work. I’m a perfectionist who’s learned that it’s okay to suck. Sure, it’s embarrassing when I mess up, but at least I try.
